ABOUT

My name is Caroline LeVans. I am a 22 year old actress/creative originally from San Francisco, California- currently based in London. From a young age, the wonders of film and stage have captured my heart. First, becoming mesmerized by films such as the Wizard of Oz, Singing in the Rain, and The Sound of Music- films that brought me into worlds I wanted to not only watch but live in. This flourished in my childhood as I went from dancing/singing with an umbrella on a rainy day and clicking my heels, to finding my way into theatre, dance and choir. There was no place I felt more exhilarated than in a space creating with others and on a stage feeling the lively energy of an audience.

My love for the arts formed its way into other avenues in my life- such as my passion for cinema. I knew it was always present because as kids when my younger siblings would watch tv or films purely for enjoyment, I was 12 and thinking about the technicality of how each shot of each scene was made and annoying them with my analysis of the cinematography quality. In 2019 I watched Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Little Women, which instantly became my all time favorite film. I was obsessed with the way every aspect of filmmaking was used to piece together the cinematically beautiful adaption- from the color grading, set, costume, dialogue and more. I was hooked and felt inspired as a young girl by Gerwig’s story as a self made actor/director/visionary.

This spark for storytelling through cinema has continued to carry on to where I’m at today in my career. From finding my way of stepping into a myriad of lives momentarily, to being in a team making something bigger than ourselves, and becoming a part of the temporary escapism into new worlds for others.

While studying acting here in London, cultivating collaboration through full-scale productions, working with a multitude of media types/ theatre styles, and finding my personal approach as an actor have been at the center of time. Simultaneously, finding ways to incorporate my passions outside of acting in order to help add to my projects as an actor is something that inspires my work- e.g. music, dance, fashion, science, social justice. Most recently, not only getting to act in a small-scale student lead production of Lysistrata, but also producing the show alongside my dear friends/peers helping the story come to life through costume design, photographical art and music curation.

Earlier in 2025, I had the chance to be an Assistant Producer on a final year Graduate Short Film 3 Years, 3 Months, 3 Days, which premiered at the BFI Southbank, London in June 2025. Engaging in my first behind-the-camera experience, working alongside an amazing crew opened my eyes to new insights and goals for my artistry. I want to move and be moved, to be in the room and become a part in the making of the next mesmerizing art for generations to come. I truly believe no opportunity is too small and no idea is too big.
